Discovering Great Mormon Buildings

Oakland Tabernacle Chapel Interior

Above the original Cultural hall is what used to be the Chapel space shown here. The wooden double doors lead down to what used to be the main entrance to the building. The stained glass window behind the pulpit faces the balcony at the front of the building. And my understanding is that this would have been the back of the chapel. Where I am standing to take the picture would have been towards the front. It looks as though there was a balcony as well, that has now been enclosed into classrooms with the three small windows above. I wasn’t able to walk around and explore as much as I wanted since a church service was about to start.
