It looks like a high school. I can’t help picturing bunch of teenagers carrying books up the steps and chatting about sock hops.

I thought the same thing, it looks like a High School or Junior High. The font type on the Stake Center sign is quite surprising, even after the shock of seeing that sign in the first place.

I agree it has the feeling of a school, but that’s OK for me because I absolutely LOVE this use of text as an integral part of the building. And the modern font is as fantastic as it is unique. I was unaware of this building until I stumbled on it while driving around. One of these days, I will need to try and get inside.

I agree it’s a nice building in and of itself, but I doubt it inspires much reverence. I hope you do manage to get inside–I really wonder what sort of worship space it contains.
