Paradise Ward in the news
The local Utah media is finally reporting on this building. Several of my photos from this site were on a KUTV News story covering the building this evening.
And here are some other news stories that were posted today as well:
HJ News – Once upon a chapel: 133-year-old LDS church in Paradise to be razed
Deseret News – One of Utah’s oldest Mormon chapels to be demolished
Salt Lake Tribune – One of Utah’s oldest Mormon chapels to be razed

It’s cool at least that the TV station credited you for the photographs.

They emailed and asked for permission beforehand, which I was happy about.

I just have a hard time believing they couldn’t at least save the original portion…I thought we were well past the “Raze-Craze” of the 60′s and 70′s.

I agree – it would have been nice to see the original stone chapel restored to its single-room use with the stone exposed and maybe the bell and tower placed back on it. Then a new building could have been designed around it to meet the current need of the wards.
