Is that a mural of Joseph Smith in the Sacred Grove?

I attended this ward for from the time I was born until I left for college at 17. The mural in the chapel is actually a triptych. The first painting is of the Hill Cumorah, then Joseph Smith in the Sacred Grove, and in the right is the Susquehanna River. It is one of the most beautiful chapels and I have so many emotions and memories seeing it again here. Love this study and the variety of architecture.

  3. This was originally the meetinghouse for the Sugar House Ward. It was an early experiment for the “Twins” concept found in so many late 1920s chapels, but with the connection at the front instead of the rear.
