Didn’t you say you went inside? I’ve been wanting to do that, but haven’t been feeling bold enough.

    • Yes, I did get inside. They were very kind, and after meeting with the Pastor, a member escorted me around and allowed some pictures. Unfortunately it was during church services on a Sunday, so the pictures aren’t the best, but I’m glad I was able to get some at least. I’ll be posting them later this week.

Somewhere we have an old photo of the building from its early days (maybe in the stake history we actually do not have a copy of). At first we thought it had been torn down because the address used to be on Webster (and that address doesn’t exist anymore), but then we found it on Google Street View and then drove by it once. It has a lot of additions now (I’m sure you noticed) but it seems like it’s still a well used building and that makes me happy.

    • Yes, they still are actively using the old portions of the building, but no longer use what used to be the main entrance. I had some trouble finding it on Google maps as well and wasn’t even sure if the building was still around. The exterior does need some work, but at least it is still there. If you are able to track down the photo, I would love to see a scan of it.

I have three old photos of the building from its LDS years — 2 exterior, 1 interior. Could you contact me directly to let me know how best to get these to you?

I was baptized in this building in July 1945 by my father, A. Selden Millward. Thanks for posting these pictures.
