Discovering Great Mormon Buildings

Holladay 13th and 20th Ward Door

Beautiful door and hardware typical of this building. Also above the door is a good view of the clerestory glazing that leads to the chapel.

  1. Thank you so much for this collection! I’ve been away from blogs for quite a while and this is a real treasure to come back and find.

    Keep up the beautiful work.

I love this blog. I am an LDS architect in Seattle who has always been fascinated with LDS meetinghouse design.

While I certainly understand the economy in today’s building design, I miss the level of design and detail shown in this picture.

    • Thanks so much steve. I too love the detail in this building. And, amazingly, it was built after the meetinghouses were correlated into standard plans. Not sure how they pulled it off, but I’m glad they did.
