Discovering Great Mormon Buildings

San Diego 3rd and 8th Ward Exterior

It was difficult to get a shot of this building with all the trees at the sidewalk and with a tall security fence surrounding the building. This photo is of the chapel, taken from the sidewalk in front of the building. The Cultural Hall is unconnected and to the right of this photo. Access between the two is through an internal courtyard.

A very unique building and an amazing chapel filled with daylight, which seems like an appropriate place to worship. However, I can’t get past the unfortunate exterior light fixture location on the picture. Seems like a little creatively could have gone a long way into integrating exterior lighting, even if it were added years after the building was finished like that light was.

Hi, I attend this building. I was asked to take a photo of it for a new invite to “worship with us” card. I really like the angle you got here. It is not for profit or anything, would you be willing to let me download and use it for that card? The current one makes it look like a dumpster and this one is a lot nicer!
